The Srujanika project, is a small step in making a difference to the Indian society. The main reason for India still being a developing nation, inspite of its vast resources, skilled manpower, and technical prowess, is poverty. Almost 70% of India’s population resides in villages and even today, a vast majority of the population is below the poverty line. Poverty and illiteracy go hand in hand. Both are two sides of the same coin. If there is a mechanism which can reduce illiteracy in India, it will, to a large extent, take care of poverty. Even when underprivileged children do get the chance to attend school, there are many cases of disinterest in studies due to various factors. The first step, therefore, to improve the literacy rate in India, is to ensure that the level of education needed a revamp or an improvisation, in terms of various factors governing the education system - A pillar formed by the community of children, teachers and parents.
With the new advancements of new media entering into a child's life, except books, it would be fascinating to see the change in education system through the advancement in content development for children. Srujanika basically focuses on content generation for children, to suit to their developmental needs in terms of understanding, creativity, and mental as well as psychological development.
In making the concept of this noble cause reach people I had designed the web and social media content. Following are a few of the artworks.
